Our address is 52975 Hwy-118, Terlingua, TX. We are conveniently located near the highway and are accessible by almost every vehicle. We are 11 minutes away from Big Bend National Park.
How safe is it to travel to Terlingua, TX?
Terlingua is a very small and safe town. The main thing to remember is that you are in the desert! There are many snakes, spiders and scorpions that won't attack you unless you step on them. Don't go off-trail, lift up rocks and remember to use a flashlight when walking at night. It is very important to hydrate in the dry and hot weather.
What is the best time of year to visit Terlingua?
The most popular time of year to visit Big Bend is in the late fall to early spring period, where the weather is typically more moderate. In fact, the park is often best visited in the winter, with an average high temperature in January of 61 degrees Fahrenheit and a low around 38. Summer is a great time to visit but we highly encourage you to book a dome with an AC.

How far away are you from Big Bend National Park, Big Bend Ranch State Park and Terlingua Ghost town?
It's an 11 minute drive to Big Bend National Park, 15 minutes to Terlingua Ghost town and 28 minutes to Big Bend Ranch State Park
Is it possible to cross into Mexico through Big Bend?
Yes, visitors can legally cross into Mexico through the Boquillas Crossing Port of Entry. This Class B port of entry (pedestrian only) is open from 9:00 am-4:00 pm, Friday to Monday during summer months, and 9:00 am-4:00 pm, Wednesday to Sunday during the winter. A valid passport is required for everyone to cross.

Where to get groceries, liquor and gas?
We recommend Cottonwood General store, Shot Time Liquors and Alon gas. All are less than 7 minute drive from Space Cowboys

Should I choose a tent or a dome?
Domes are highly recommended for hot weather as unlike the tents, they have an AC. Our tent's give you a camping experience while our domes are a rigid structure that is better insulated from the weather and sound. Both domes and tents come in 2 sizes.
When do I check-in and check-out?
Check-in is at 4pm and check-out is at 11am. Please ensure you let us know what time you will be arriving so we can acomodate you right away.
Do tents and domes have power and lights?
Our luxury tents and Space Pods come with full power outlets and have small dim lights to give you just enough light to optimize your stargazing experience. Keep in mind that there are occasional power outages in Terlingua and it may take a few hours to get it back up and running. We have generators on site that can provide power in case of an outage.
How fast is your Wi-Fi?
We have Starlink satellite internet and have the highest speed plan available. Starlink is far more reliable than the local fiber internet, however speeds may slow down if a lot of devices are connected at the same time or during very rainy/foggy weather. Do I get a fridge, fan and heater in my tent or Space Pod?
Every Space Pod and Luxury tent has a refrigerator, freezer, space heater and fan.
