Picture yourself gazing at the stars through the panoramic windows of your dome, feeling the awe-inspiring beauty of the cosmos envelop you. Our space-themed resort combines art, technology, comfort, and the bizarre. Our domes are perched on the side of a 100-foot-tall volcanic hill, offering guests breathtaking views of the sweeping landscapes of Big Bend and the surrounding mountains. While hiking around our volcanic hill, you will find an abundance of weird desert plants, aliens, spaceships, meteors, and other Easter eggs. 

Located on Highway 118, we are just a 11 minute drive from Big Bend National Park and the charming Terlingua Ghost Town with it's many shops, restaurants, mines and art. Our galactic resort offers a unique experience atop a 100-foot-high volcanic hill surrounded by majestic meteor rocks. From this vantage point, you can take in panoramic views of the National Park, State Park, Santa Elena Canyon and the Chisos Mountains of Mexico. 

It's important to note that the hike up to dome 010 is along a steep dirt trail, which can be strenuous for some. The ascent takes approximately 2 minutes on foot and may take longer if you are carrying luggage. While we are more than happy to assist with carrying your belongings whenever possible, we kindly ask that you be prepared to transport your items if our assistance is unavailable.

Inside your Space Pod, you'll find everything you need for a relaxing stay, including electrical outlets, air conditioning, a fridge, a fan, and even lasers that project iridescent nebulas gliding across your ceiling for a truly immersive experience. Our water comes from a 750-foot-deep aquifer, ensuring it is both soft and clean. Remember that water in the desert is a precious resource, so we kindly ask that you limit your showers to 5 minutes.

Unlike traditional geodesic domes, our domes consist of rigid plastic, allowing us to have crystal-clear windows. With one-third of the dome being a window, you can enjoy the stars directly from your bed or close the massive curtains for some privacy.

Our amenities include shared outdoor bathrooms at the bottom of the hill and indoor bathrooms at the top of the hill. We will provide you with a towel, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. You are welcome to use our common grilling areas or enjoy the fire pit located next to your dome.

After a day spent exploring the park, watch the sunset from our hammock chairs and then relax around your own personal fire pit as the stars begin to light up the night sky.  At the end of the day, slip under a plush comforter and warm blankets and sleep soundly in the Space Pod's memory foam queen size bed. 

Check-in instruction:

• Our address is 52975 Hwy-118, Terlingua, TX. Please use Google Maps as Apple Maps App doesn't work well in Terlingua.
• Check-in time is between 4 p.m. and 10 p.m.  and unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate early arrivals. Thank you for your understanding.
• If you want to check in past 10 p.m. you must let us know in advance so that we can give you instructions to access your site. We highly recommend checking-in when it is still light out since the property can be challenging at night. 
• Upon your arrival, give us a call at 609-937-0917 so that we can meet you at your car to check you in. Have your reservation page ready for us to assist you promptly. 

Pets:

• We allow up to 2 pets per dome for a flat fee of $95. 

House rules: 

To enhance your experience at our desert retreat, you must agree to the following guidelines:

1. Trail Accessibility: Some trails leading to the further domes (007, 008, 009, 010) tent can extend a few hundred feet from the parking lot. Please be aware that our property may not be suitable for individuals with mobility issues or those unaccustomed to hiking. The terrain includes steep hills, uneven paths, and rocky areas, which may pose challenges for some guests. We want all our guests to have a safe and enjoyable experience, so please consider your physical abilities when booking your stay. If you have any concerns about accessibility, feel free to contact us, and we will do our best to assist you.
2. Supervision and Safety: For the safety of all guests, we require adults to supervise children under 18 at all times. Children are not permitted to venture off-trail, lift or climb rocks, run, or enter restricted or construction areas. Additionally, both children and adults must use flashlights when walking around the property after dark. These guidelines are in place to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone. Thank you for your cooperation.
3. Refund Policy: Guests have the flexibility to change their dates up to 1 month in advance at no additional charge. However, changes made within 1 month of the booking date will incur a $50 fee. Please note that by booking with us, you agree to our cancellation policy, which is outlined at the time of checkout. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to hosting you.
4. Damage Policy: Any damage to the domes or facilities caused by guests will incur a fee. This includes but is not limited to, damage to furnishings, fixtures, appliances, and the property itself. Guests are responsible for any costs associated with repairs or replacements due to damage caused during their stay. We kindly ask all guests to treat our property with care and respect. Thank you for your understanding.
5. Wildlife Awareness: The desert is home to various creatures, including spiders, wasps, snakes, scorpions, and other critters. While it may not be possible to keep all of these creatures at bay, properly closing the screen doors when you depart your dome or tent can significantly reduce their presence. Please be cautious of rattlesnakes; look before you step, and avoid moving or removing large rocks. We encourage exploration but prioritize safety above all else.
6. Dark Sky Environment: As part of the Dark Sky Community, our property and its surroundings have minimal lighting. We have very few lights on our property for the same purpose. Always carry a flashlight when walking around after dark, and exercise caution to avoid any potential hazards. If possible, arrive before dark as it can be challenging to bring all your luggage up when it's dark. 
7. Respect for Desert Flora: Our property boasts a diverse array of cacti and desert plants. While these plants are beautiful, they can also be formidable, with many featuring sharp points or thorns. Please tread carefully and avoid stepping on any plants. Ocotillo cacti, in particular, can be quite large and sprawling, so be mindful of your surroundings. Please do not collect rocks or plants.
8. Terrain Caution: As you ascend the hill, be mindful of the terrain. Off-trail areas consist of crumbly and sharp volcanic rock, making it unsafe to venture off the designated paths. Always stay on the trail, especially when going uphill or downhill. We recommend wearing sturdy hiking shoes for your safety.
9. Emergency Preparedness: The nearest hospital is located in Alpine, which is over an hour away. Please keep this in mind and take necessary precautions during your stay.
10. Power and Water Usage: While we strive to provide a comfortable experience, power outages can occur. We have portable generators and power banks for such occasions. Please use the air conditioning units responsibly, turning them off when not needed. Our water supply is limited, so we kindly request that showers be kept to 3-5 minutes maximum.
11. Respectful Behavior: While we do not have set quiet hours, we expect all guests to be considerate and respectful towards one another. Failure to adhere to this simple rule may result in being asked to leave.
12. Communication and Expectations: Your comfort and enjoyment are our top priorities. We aim to respond promptly to your needs and requests. However, please understand that we may be attending to other guests or temporarily out of cell service range. For non-emergencies, please message us through the app or text us.
13. Leave No Trace: Please adhere to the national Leave No Trace rules. Trash facilities in the immediate area are limited, so please dispose of waste responsibly.
14. Amenities Provided: We provide clean white linens, extra blankets, shampoo, body wash, conditioner, soap, white towels, a heater (requires a small 1lb propane tank), fan, fridge (Space Pods), lights, nebula laser, household plugs, indoor and outdoor furniture, and a fire pit for your convenience. 
15. Respect for Others: We expect all guests to treat each other and our staff with respect. Unruly behavior, including excessive noise, disturbance of other guests, or disrespectful conduct towards staff, will not be tolerated. Guests who do not adhere to these guidelines may be asked to leave the property and may not be eligible for a refund. We strive to maintain a peaceful and enjoyable environment for all our guests, and your cooperation is greatly appreciated.

Liability Waiver:

By proceeding, you hereby waive, release and forever discharge Chup Enterprises LLC, d/b/a. Space Cowboys, its affiliates, managers, members, agents, attorneys, employees, staff, volunteers, heirs, executors, administrators, representatives, predecessors, successors and assigns from any claims resulting from physical or personal injury, pain, suffering, illness, disfigurement, temporary or permanent disability, loss or death, and any property damage that may occur caused by fire, theft, vandalism, water or land-related accidents, natural events or any other occurrences or mishaps.

We are here of our free will, and entirely at our own risk. We understand that these injuries or outcomes may arise by our own or others’ negligence or conditions on the premises or the conditions or our use of amenities offered at the premises or related to travel to and from the premises. Nonetheless, we assume all related risks, both known and unknown. Chup Enterprises, LLC, d/b/a Space Cowboys, is not responsible for errors, omissions, acts or failures to act of any party or entity conducting a specific event or activity. I fully understand that this is a release of liability and I agree to voluntarily give up or waive any right that I otherwise have to bring legal action against Chup Enterprises, LLC, d/b/a Space Cowboys , for any personal injury or death, pet injury or death or property damage whatsoever for negligence on the part of, Chup Enterprises, LLC, d/b/a Space Cowboys, its agents and employees. This waiver and release of liability shall remain in effect for the duration of my presence at the premises. We further agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless Chup Enterprises, LLC, d/b/a Space Cowboys, against any and all claims, suits or actions of any kind whatsoever for liability, damages, compensation or otherwise brought by me or anyone on my behalf, including attorney’s fees and any related costs.

By proceeding you agree that you have read Chup Enterprises LLC’s Waiver of Liability carefully. I clearly understand the terms and voluntarily sign this release agreement. I have also discussed this with all persons in my party and they have authorized me to sign this agreement on their behalf.

By proceeding you understand that if any members of my group break the 'House Rules', Chup Enterprises LLC reserves the right to terminate the reservation and issue no refund.
